With a vast collection of over 1000 varieties; including rare varieties such as philodendron, monstera, orchids, succulents, and Adeniums; we cater to the diverse preferences of plant enthusiasts. Moreover, Calcutta Horticultural Farm takes pride in being one of the largest green experience centers within the city, providing a serene environment for plant lovers to explore and appreciate nature.

With 12 plants in stock in his nursery and a vision to make the world a greener place Mr Goutom Bose started Calcutta Horticultural Farm ( formerly known as GeeBee Enterprise) in 1982 as a consulting horticulturist and garden developer. Some of his initial clients being Infar India (formerly Organon India Ltd), Taj Bengal ( since the inception of the project), Hindustan Lever, Texmaco and so on.
He soon gathered recognition for tree transplantation (the first of it’s kind in the city). Where trees were earlier chopped off for various reasons he started transplanting full grown trees from one place to another with a survival rate of more than 90%. He and his team transplanted trees from Tollygunge during metro rail construction and placed them all through Rash Behari Avenue with 100% success. With many such transplantation around the city, he saved many tree from perishing in the hands of modernisation and development.
With increasing space crunch in peoples’ life he came up with terrace gardens, vertical gardens, tray gardens. From Corporate to residential gardens he became a go-to name.Garnered lots of awards and recognitions from former CM Mr Jyoti Basu and the then speaker of Assembly house. With his untimely demise in 2009, his legacy was carried forward by his wife Indra Bose with elan.
Currently she is joined by their daughter Apurba Bose, who has taken the business one step forward and is a regular name in online selling of plant and plant supplies, packaged potting mixes, manure and medicines, gardening kits, ceramic planters etc.
Gardener-on-call, a service like never before, where a skilled gardener is at your door step as and when required anywhere in the city, is one of their most popular services currently.
